“My wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chef Daniel Lyons and the celebratory meal services he provides at his Legacy Ballroom venue at the Tustin Hills Racquet Club!
Upon meeting Chef Dan for the first time at his Westminster Manor office during our search for a marriage celebration venue, my (now) wife and I were both quite taken, so to speak, by his nature. Chef was warm, kind, welcoming, attentive, helpful, honest, and a charming leader & servant, etc. – everything a person in a service-oriented business should and could be. We felt that he really made us his priority during each of our visits to his office, and even before we became his paying customers; he definitely made a remarkable first and lasting impression on us.
Chef has been in this business for many years, and he knew exactly how to help us with what we needed and/or were searching for – 1) a more-than-suitable venue with all the necessary staff – servers for appetizers, bartenders, set-up and takedown/cleaning crew, and his present leadership during our event, 2) an amazing food menu with numerous options to choose from + an amazing and generous food-tasting with allowed guests, 3) his openness to allow us to bring our own alcohol, and helpful input on how much to buy based on his experience, 4) his EXTREME generosity to allow to use the venue for 12 HOURS – set up from 12-4:30pm, event from 4:30-10:30pm, and closing/tear-down/clean-up/vacate from 10:30-11:59pm this was an above-and-beyond blessing to us, 5) his openness to allow us to bring in our own decorations (as long as they were permitted by the club – like a huge pipe-framed backdrop we set up behind our sweetheart’s table), gigantic lawn games for our guests on the beautiful lawn right outside the ballroom, our own appetizers, etc.), and 6) much more!
And we received all of the services mentioned for a more-than-reasonable price! My wife and I were ecstatic on how much we were able to save, and how much Chef gave us in return for our money, and how amazing he was to work with from beginning to end. A funny moment my wife and I will always remember is when Chef uttered his disbelief about how some businesses charge a cake-cutting fee; a cake wasn’t in our plans, but hearing him speak out about some of the nonsense charges we’ve heard other venues had made us realize how very fortunate we were to have found someone like him, someone who runs his business for his customers (and not money) first. Chef Dan, Grace and I are blessed and honored to have met and worked with you. And we are further honored to have our celebration photos on The Legacy Ballroom’s Instagram page – they look great!
